The world produces 450 million tons of plastic waste each year. Microplastics are seeping into our oceans and food. They even show up in our bodies. So you can imagine how revolutionary a new kind of plastic that completely dissolves in water can be.
Thatʼs exactly what Timeplast created. They patented a water-soluble, time-programmable plastic that vanishes without harming the environment. Major players are already partnering with Timeplast for their patented technology—including a Fortune 500 company. Not only are they disrupting industries like packaging and 3D printing, their technology can also replace glass, metal, and paper.

President Trump unveiled his “AI Action Plan” this week, issuing three executive orders aimed at unblocking the gears of American innovation. The plan is to fast-track permits for data centers, cut regulatory red tape, and aggressively promote U.S. AI exports on the global stage.
A senior administration official called it “a Marshall Plan for silicon,” while insiders noted it was crafted with input from top AI firms and venture capitalists.
With this push, Trump is betting on AI supremacy as economic policy—and the markets are responding. On the same day the executive orders were released, the Nasdaq hit a record high, led by Alphabet, Nvidia, and chipmaker SK Hynix.
While airlines and automakers reported earnings weighed down by inflation and trade friction, AI firms soared:
Alphabet posted blowout numbers on the back of cloud and AI tool sales.
Infosys and SK Hynix joined the winners circle with bullish guidance.
Global equity indices climbed on AI optimism, and EU trade deal hopes.
Investors are shifting their weight toward what one Goldman Sachs analyst dubbed the "picks and shovels of the AI age."
Amid the AI euphoria, Trump’s trade policy took center stage again. A new tariff scheme proposes reciprocal duties ranging from 15% to 50%, with the EU reportedly settling around 15%, signaling tentative detente.
Markets breathed a sigh of relief — a 15% ceiling is livable. Yet the broader risk is geopolitical: China and the EU are inching toward economic coordination, a dynamic some analysts call “a strategic own goal” by Washington.
As China retools its industrial base with automation and AI, spends big on rail transport between Asia and Europe, and doubles down on mineral leverage, it's also been quietly forging stronger trade ties with the EU. The result? A potential Eurasian economic axis that could tilt global supply chains… again.
U.S. export controls have also triggered an unintended consequence: the rise of AI chip smuggling. According to an Ars Technica report, more than $1 billion in Nvidia B200 chips have been illicitly shipped to China, with firms like “Gate of the Era” dominating black-market distribution. Demand remains insatiable. “This is the new arms race,” said one export compliance expert. “And everyone wants a missile.”
Not everyone is buying into the optimism. Billionaire investor Ray Dalio issued a stark warning, calling America’s $37 trillion national debt an impending "economic heart attack."
In a Fortune interview, Dalio called for “bipartisan 1990s-style fiscal discipline,” noting that the AI-fueled market rally could mask deeper vulnerabilities—especially if bond yields spike or confidence falters.
VC Soloists Take the Stage
As the AI frenzy accelerates, venture capital is scrambling to keep pace—and Elad Gil may have timed it perfectly. The Information reports that Gil is raising a new $1.5B–$2B fund, one of the largest ever by a solo general partner. His previous bets on Harvey, Stripe, Airbnb, and Abridge earned him a reputation for speed, access, and conviction.
Gil’s model sidesteps the consensus-driven nature of traditional VC firms. He rarely takes board seats, runs lean, and is expanding his team to keep up with deal flow. He’s not alone. Solo VCs like Lachy Groom, Katie Haun, and Oren Zeev are now being joined by a new class of agile fundraisers backed by LPs hungry for exposure to AI. But there are risks. As one institutional LP put it: “If you’re betting on one person, you better make sure they sleep well.”
In Istanbul, the third round of Russia–Ukraine ceasefire talks broke down, overshadowed by Trump’s sanctions threats and a still-looming November deadline. But the global mood may be softening in unexpected ways.
Some analysts argue Trump’s tariffs may paradoxically reduce global cold war tensions by pushing rival blocs to self-stabilize. If China, the EU, and the U.S. all find ways to trade and compete without outright hostility, the new geopolitics might look more like structured interdependence than zero-sum rivalry. Trump the peacemaker might be more realpolitik than anyone expected.
“The really big wave of AI is arguably still two to three years ahead of us. But there is some real stuff happening right now, and there is obviously just a bunch of stuff that won’t work.
