Sharge just unveiled the Icemag 3, a magnetic wireless power bank that pays homage to Sony's iconic T-Series Cybershot cameras. The $70 device delivers 25W Qi 2.2 charging and features a distinctive aluminum bar reminiscent of the classic camera's lens protector, but serves as a fold-out stand instead.
The accessory maker that brought us Braun turntable-inspired batteries and Mac-themed chargers is back with another nostalgic design twist. Sharge just revealed the Icemag 3, a magnetic wireless power bank that channels the aesthetic of Sony's beloved T-Series Cybershot point-and-shoot cameras from the early 2000s. The resemblance isn't subtle - that distinctive sliding aluminum bar that once protected camera lenses now serves as the power bank's signature design element.
But this isn't just about looks. The 39.1Wh battery pack (10,000mAh for those keeping track) packs serious charging capabilities with 25W Qi 2.2 magnetic wireless charging, putting it ahead of many competitors still stuck at 15W. The aluminum bar that catches your eye? It's actually a fold-out stand that lets you prop up your phone while it charges wirelessly.
Sharge didn't stop there. The Icemag 3 includes a 35W USB-C cable built directly into its fabric lanyard, so you're never hunting for a charging cord. There's also an additional USB-C port for passthrough charging, optional RGB lighting for those who like their tech to glow, and - perhaps most controversially - an active 10,000rpm cooling fan tucked behind what looks like the old camera's lens.
That fan might divide users. The Verge's Sean Hollister noted he found the sound "a bit annoying on the original Icemag," though it presumably helps manage heat during high-speed wireless charging. The company has positioned the fan as a glowing "eye" that adds to the nostalgic camera aesthetic.
This marks the third iteration of Sharge's Icemag series, each pushing wireless charging speeds higher. The original topped out at 7.5W with no stand, while the second generation added a tiny folding stand and 15W charging. Both previous versions charged from the bottom, but Sharge moved the port to the side on the Icemag 3, making it viable as a desktop wireless charging station.
The timing aligns with broader wireless charging improvements across the industry. Apple recently brought 25W charging to more iPhone 16 models with iOS 18, while Google's Pixel lineup shows fragmented support - the Pixel 10 Pro XL hits 25W wirelessly, but the regular Pixel 10 is capped at 15W.
