The centerpiece is an AI-powered object removal tool that lets users highlight or circle unwanted elements in photos. VSCO claims its "intelligent area detection" seamlessly blends backgrounds after removal without compromising resolution or color accuracy. That's a direct shot at competitors whose tools often leave telltale artifacts.

VSCO is also adding support for high-resolution RAW files and non-destructive editing - features that put it in direct competition with desktop powerhouses like Adobe Lightroom. An upcoming "Upscale" feature promises to boost image resolution while preserving details, addressing one of mobile photography's biggest limitations.
The financial model shows VSCO's confidence in these tools. AI Labs comes with unlimited usage for Pro subscribers at $12.99 monthly or $60 annually - no per-edit charges like some competitors impose. That pricing strategy suggests the company expects heavy adoption among its core creator base.
