Ninja's cult-favorite Slushi machine just hit its lowest price ever at $270 for Black Friday, after a year of constant sellouts made it one of the most coveted kitchen gadgets of 2024. The timing coincides with the launch of the massive Slushi Max XXL, signaling the company's push into party-sized frozen drinks.
The slushie machine that defined summer 2024 just became a lot more accessible. Ninja's Slushi Professional is now selling for $270 on both Amazon and the company's direct site, marking the steepest discount since the viral appliance launched.
The deal comes after months of the Slushi playing an exhausting game of stock-and-sellout. Since its July 2024 debut, the machine has consistently disappeared from shelves within hours of restocking. The phenomenon turned what should have been a routine appliance launch into something resembling a Supreme drop.
"For the first year of its life, the Ninja Slushi didn't go on sale much. Mostly what it did was sell out of stock—over and over and over," noted Wired reviewer Matthew Korfhage, who's tested the machine extensively.
The timing isn't coincidental. Ninja just unleashed the Slushi Max XXL in late October, a 150-ounce behemoth that's clearly targeting commercial venues, frat houses, and anyone planning to serve frozen drinks to crowds. The supersized version is also discounted to $350, matching the original Slushi's regular retail price.
This inventory clearance strategy mirrors what we've seen across the small appliance space. Companies are using Black Friday as a reset moment, discounting current models to make room for next-generation products. The pattern played out earlier this year with air fryer launches and is now hitting the frozen drink category.
What made the original Slushi such a phenomenon was its simplicity combined with adult appeal. Unlike traditional slushie machines aimed at kids, this one lets you throw in whatever ingredients you have—from craft cocktails to cold brew coffee—and turn them into bar-quality frozen drinks at home. The machine's RapidChill technology can freeze most liquids in under 15 minutes.
Amazon data shows the Slushi has maintained consistent 4.5-star ratings across thousands of reviews, with buyers praising everything from "mimosa slushies" to "sour beer slushies." The versatility factor clearly resonated beyond 's target demographic.
